Alex and Hallie were married on a beautiful September day. We have become friends with this sweet family. This wedding was as little bittersweet for me. I probably cried a gallon of tears, watching my two oldest daughters walk down the aisle as flower girls. They will soon be in Hallie's shoes, walking down the aisle with their daddy.
The ceremony took place at First Baptist-Sumter. I love the inside of this church! The stain glass is breathtaking! Bloomsbury Floral Design made the sanctuary gorgeous with their flower designs.
Hallie walked down the aisle and there wasn't a dry eye in the church, especially from her future husband Alex! He couldn't keep from crying, which made for a precious ceremony. Hallie's dad, gave her away with the most precious words. The ceremony was gorgeous and ended with Alex washing Hallie's feet and Hallie washing Alex's.
The reception took place at a house on the outskirts of Sumter overlooking Columbia, South Carolina! The decorations were gorgeous, chandeliers hanging from trees, a cross over looking the hills, with people and family galore. They ate, cut the cake and danced the night away until it was dark and we couldn't see anymore!
P.S. Note to all Grooms, the day of your wedding, do not play basketball right before you're going to the altar. You never know what might happen, like an almost broken ankle!
If you missed last nights sunset, it was absolutely gorgeous! I was driving home from a fun and beautiful engagement session, in Hartsville at Kalmia Gardens, I had to stop and just stare because it was so beautiful!
We had such an enjoyable time taking Eric and Emily's engagement pictures. The leaves this year are gorgeous.
I can't wait for their wedding next June!
Jonathan and Caitlin were married on a beautiful day in October!
1 week after hurricane Matthew took down trees and power all across the midlands. We prayed that the power would come back on at the wedding venue and generators wouldn't be needed. The power came back on days before the wedding!!!
The ceremony took place over looking a beautiful pond, the trees on the other side of the lake were just starting to change colors. The weather was cool and the love was strong!
Caitlin was stunning in her dress!
I love these shots and I always wonder what the bride and groom write to each other!
Caitlin wanted to get a shot of her looking out the window, can we just say this is stunning and happens to be one of my favorite shots to date!
Her veil was gorgeous!
The flower girl was adorable!
Every bride and groom, need a good classic car to use for their wedding photos!
Jonathan and Caitlin, here's to the rest of your lives together!!
Nick and Laine, have become friends of mine. I was truly sad when their wedding was over. We bonded during one of their engagement sessions out at Tanglewood Plantation!
They were married at The ODonnell House, in Sumter, South Carolina. The beautiful flowers and arrangements were created by, By Design and Events out of Columbia, South Carolina.
Laine, was by far the most organized bride. After her wedding, I found out that she planned a wedding, along with getting a 4.0 during her first year of medical school at the University Of South Carolina. She deserves a huge metal!
They have some exciting news coming up, which includes an ad in Southern Wedding Magazine V9 and a feature on a blog, that I can't yet reveal!
Jake and Skyler, were married on a beautiful spring day in May, in Pinewood, South Carolina.
I have to admit, I did take one of the scariest photos, i've ever taken. You'll see it as your scroll down. Only in the South can this type of picture be taken!
Jake and Skyler, ended the night with lots of fun dancing and the party was still going on when I left around 11pm.
Rachel, who lives in Hawaii contacted me about her wedding. She flew home to South Carolina, just a few days before her bridals, which happened to be 4 days before her wedding.
The weather was perfect and the place, Tanglewood Plantation, in Lynchburg was a gorgeous backdrop for her bridals.
Despite all the mosquitos, we had a great time chasing the sunset on Saturday. Let me just tell you how much I love a good end of summer, almost fall sunset!
I can't wait for Liz and German's wedding in July 2017!
Isaiah and Nancy were married on a beautiful spring day in April at St Matthias Church in Summerville, South Carolina. I love spring weddings. Its always such a beautiful time here in South Carolina.
Nancy, wore a beautiful 5 generation gown! Yes, 5 generations. She looked absolutely stunning. Not only did her dress have much meaning, her headpiece, she picked out at a store when she was 5 years old. Her mom said saved if for her to wear on her wedding day. The table linens were hand made by her grandmother and her beautiful pearls are her mothers.
The church was packed and people had to stand outside during the ceremony! It was a beautiful ceremony, filled with love and laughter. At one point I thought maybe the bride was going to pass out, but she didn't!!! She made it through...:)
The newlyweds wanted to go to take pictures at Lake Marion right after they were married, so as soon as we left the wedding, Nancy and Isaiah changed and we headed over to the lake.
They're moving out of state so, Nancy wanted to have one last memory of Lake Marion, where she grew up. Such a sweet time.
Here's to the Lemmon's and many wonderful years to come! Enjoy
Meet the Berger Family! I enjoyed getting to know this family, I especially enjoyed taking pictures at Lori's parents house, downtown. Many of you know, that I LOVE old homes, our home was built in 1932. I love the character, something that can't be built now a days!
I've watched this family grow from just two, now to four! Its been so much fun watching them grow. This session went so smoothly!
Brides, lets talk bridal registries! Like most engaged couples, including myself (10 years ago), we had no money! Not a dime, not a penny, we had a car that was paid off and zero debt but nothing in the bank! lol! So, we registered for lots of practical items, because we needed EVERY SINGLE ONE of them. I look back and thank the good Lord that we did register for practical items, but I wish I would have spent more time registering for the pretty timeless things that you will not buy once you're married, with multiple children! Plus, this is the only time other people will buy it for you and your wonderful beloved husband will not care, when someone else buys it for you. ;)
Brides, go ahead and register for those pretty things, paintings, dinner ware, accessories, door hangings, pillows, chairs, antique furniture, hand towels and all things beautiful and gorgeous at Sumter's local shop One Accord!
